Where you’re from and currently reside?

I have come full circle. I was born in Boston, MA moved around a bunch including to living in my husband's hometown in Australia where we had our first daughter, and now back in Western MA where we had our second daughter.

What are these food wraps made out of?

We use 100% cotton, organic beeswax, organic jojoba oil and tree rosin.

Generally, how much plastic is spared from entering landfills with one Z Wrap?

Just one Z Wrap can be washed and reused upwards of 100 times. That means one Z wrap can prevent 1000 pieces of plastic from ending up in the trash – keeping them out of landfills and our oceans!

What’s the best way to wash your products?

Wash with cool water and mild soap and leave to air dry. No need to wring out as it can damage your wrap.

What’s your business advice to someone trying to create a sustainable line?

I know this will sound so cliche, but make sure you absolutely love what you do. Your business is your baby. It takes everything out of you and needs a lot of love, time and energy – more than you'll ever imagine. I absolutely love Z Wraps, that they provide folks with an easy-to-use alternative to single-use plastic, and that it makes folks excited about getting involved in sustainability. I get to show my girls they can make a difference and we are able to introduce something that makes a difference to people every day. If I didn't love what I do, there would be no way I could put in the work necessary to make our business continue to grow successfully.

Where do you hope to be in 5 years with Z Wraps?

In the home of more folks around the country and around the world. Z Wraps at that point will be a household name and folks will be excited for the next release of our latest design and product!
